Hi friends!
Phew, time sure is a-flying! Between grad school, life, 3 internships, training, and sleep, I feel like I have no time! BUT, I am really enjoying this new chapter in my life; with all it's changes, excitement, and adventures. Now, only if I didn't have to move again in a month.... My current situation is just NOT working out. The location, housemates, and amenities are....well.... really super duper sucky. Oh well. You can't win them all.
As you know, I spent almost 40 days in Hawai'i recently, with James and his family in Honoululu. I think it goes without saying that it was amazing beyond control. I really frigging love Hawaii. The ocean, the mountains, the air, the sun, the food, the culture, the sand, the driving..... oh le sigh. I miss you Hawaii!
There was not a single day in 40 days where I rested. EVERY SINGLE DAY was action packed with swims, hikes, runs, yoga, kayaking, biking, walking, racing, you name it! It was absolutely glorious, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The best vacations are the action packed ones!
And since a picture is worth a thousand words, here's about 10,000 words for ya;
Lanikai Beach Bike Path 8k race
Kailua Beach 8K; this race had it all; sand, rain, wind, sun!
Gosh, the views are amazing, aren't they?
Big, juicy, out of this world pineapple from the KCC Farmer's Market
Leonard's Malasadas. I swear they fill them with crack or something because they are so un-fricking-believably addicting
Manoa Falls Hike; I ended up with 13 mosquito bites!
Hawaii Loa Ridge Trail Hike on my 25th birthday. What better way to spend a B-Day?
Top of Hawaii Loa Ridge Trail Take 2
Huge tree during Manoa Falls Hike
Koko Head Staircase climb. Dang did these hurt my quads!
Post Diamon Head Trail Run. James and I ran up Diamond Head twice in a row....all before breakfast!
Maunawilli Hike.
Jump!!!!
Epic 5 hour hike
Of course, I had to run!
Kayaking from Lanikai Beach to the Mokulua Islands in the background.
KCCN FM 100 Birthday Bash. Epic Jawaiian concert all night long.
Stand up paddle boading at Ala Moana Beach Park. Well... the photo was taken before I stood up! haha
